Nine South Korean fishing boats have been gutted by fire at a port in Jeju island in South Korea causing about US$5 million worth of damage.

Mark Kolesar, 46, of Hazel Green, died in a boating accident on Lake Guntersville Sunday evening. Kolesar was pleasure boating with his family around 7 p.m. when he fell off the swim platform at the rear of the boat, according to Sgt. Randy Jones of the Alabama Marine Police.
